BACHELOR THESIS

I finally finished my bachelor thesis about the "German Running Hand". The classic Kurrent script was taught in schools until the second worldwar and was highly respected because of its fluent way of writing. Because of political arbitrariness the font was forbidden during the national socialism. In this thesis it is discussed why this special font has not succeeded in gaining popularity again after the second worldwar. On the contrary, its popularity was actually decreasing. The topic of how it is possible to relearn the Kurrent is treated as well, and why it is so important to maintain this font. By means of easy exercises and selected recipes the barrier to use this remarkable font should fall in a playful and delightful way.

YOU&ME MEMORY

I did this personal project for the anniversary of my boyfriend and me. I always loved memory and often thought about the idea to give this game a personal touch. It consists out of 18 individual handdrawn type-card-pairs, each of them representing a part of our relationship.

CD PACKAGING

This packaging works with transformation. When you open the cover, the side wings upflift the cd and put it on show. So it get's easier for the user to uncase his new cd. The semicircle vision panels enable the costumer to catch a glimpse of the cd-artwork before opening the cover. On the backside is another layer for the booklet.
